I am writing this text in the dark hour. I don’t know when you’ll read it, but I want you to enjoy the process. The last week has been very hot. And it’s not just the weather outside the window, but what’s happening on my laptop screen. I literally lived in a provincial Japanese town called Inaba.
Went to school in the morning and listened to faceless schoolchildren exchange thoughts about the latest events. During lessons, teachers questioned me/or one of my friends. Naturally, I always had to answer – sometimes it worked, sometimes not so much. After school I suddenly became very popular and everyone wanted to spend their free time with me. You think: this is it – life is good. But no – in addition to social connections, you need to go to dungeons to level up Persona and read books/prepare for exams. Academic achievement is also important, but this is only the beginning of the story.
There was fishing, a trip out of town, and catching bugs, and various events in sports and cultural clubs. There was plenty of activity to do and for almost everything, with due diligence, achievements were given out. Here my hero met his first love. Here I experienced everything the wonders of the mysticism of big-nosed Igor from the Velvet Machine, and his beautiful assistant Margaret — captivated my thoughts long before the other waifus appeared. At the end of the game she even kissed me, my ship was hit.
Lord, I went to "Persona 4 Golden", as a second job, and I myself read a considerable number of guides. And I was largely saved by the fact that I had previously watched two seasons of the anime. But the deeper into the forest, the more firewood. After 40 hours I started skipping many lines of dialogue, because the characters were often repeated and I wanted to get that same gameplay as quickly as possible. And now I’m not talking about dungeons, but specifically about the development of the characteristics of our protagonist and Social Links.
Based on the results of the passage, I was left with two impressions. On the one hand, it’s nice that the authors included as many as 4 exams, several festivals, summer holidays, class trips to nature and much more in this story. On the other hand, these are mostly cutscenes where we have minimal control. From the point of view of pumping, we are simply wasting this time, but our hero lives a full life.
About the anime. Both film adaptations should be watched exclusively in the order in which they were released on Japanese TV, because watching Golden without the first season is like reading a book with a short and very truncated content. Yes, and cram 140 hours of nerdiness into dungeons and dozens of dates with only one of the 23 Arcana into a small series of two seasons – simply unrealistic.
But we must give them credit – they presented the basis in an understandable language with minimal losses, and Golden Animation – this is just an expanded look at the villain + everything connected with the new heroine Marie and True ending of the game. I was also very amused by the episode where the GG tries to be in three places at once in one day – these are the feelings everyone who played in "Persona 4 Golden". At first it seems like you have a lot of time. But in August these illusions fade into the background. Time management is a very important element of the gameplay.

It is important to understand that Fusion is directly related to Social Links, if by the end of the game you screw up at least one Arcana, then you won’t see the best achievements like my slippers. Persona – inner voice/avatar for each of our team members. Only the main protagonist and villain have full access to different personas. The rest of the characters are content with one copy. Everything is simple here. Persons drop out in dungeons during clearing, through Fusion, You can also buy them through Compendium, but this is often an expensive pleasure. Fortunately, there are many options in the game Part-time jobs.
Important to remember. Part-time jobs, studying at school, reading books are needed not only to get money, but also to improve the personal characteristics of our hero. There are 5 of them – Understanding, Expression, Diligence, Knowledge and Courage.
Without the proper level of one or another characteristic – pumping Social Links won’t go any further. Try to choose your answers carefully in dialogues, answer questions from teachers and go to the local diner on rainy days Chinese Diner Aiya V Central Shopping District. There is also a special cafe in the game where they give Skill Cards, but for the first playthrough this is not particularly important.

A special moment. Be careful when you hear the sound of chains in the dungeon. If your team’s level is below 90, then it is better to immediately leave the floor or attack any shadow nearby. Under no circumstances should you risk opening chests until the sound disappears. My team miraculously survived the battle with this secret boss. Yes, I know that victory is over Reaper gives a rare achievement, but this is far from a calm battle. Even on the easiest level, I miraculously avoided the death of all my teammates. Tip #1: complete quests for extras that are scattered throughout the city – they give you useful items and costumes. There is no leveling up of weapons or armor in the game, but there is always equipment with the best performance, which can be obtained by completing quests or in special chests.
Tip #2: download first Arcana those characters who have a non-standard schedule. During the day, pay attention to Marie (Arcana Aeon) V Central Shopping District, also on Adachi (Arcana Jester/upgrades to level 6), which can just as easily be found in Junes in the evening. These two characters are very important for getting the True ending.
Will appear a little later Hisano (Arcana Death), which will be available after the first half of summer on Samegawa Flood Plain. And don’t forget about Eri (Arcana Temperance), where you need to go by bus. In the evening, improve your relationship with Nanako and Dojima at home, and then with the nurse from the local hospital (Arcana Devil) and the young disciple Shu (Arcana Tower) – to both you need to go by bus through Central Shopping District. Tip #3: if you want to save a little time, you can always look at the list of activities that were popular with the majority of players on a given day. Tip #4: reading books can wait, but if you want achievements, you need to be careful. There are about 32 books in the game in total. Most of it can be bought in a store in Central Shopping District. About a third of the books will be given away by the guy who always stands next to the store for completing quests. But there are three books that can only be obtained from the captain of the sports club you joined. I advise you not to repeat my mistakes and join a football club. This way you will receive these books automatically. Typically, reading one book lasts from two to four days. But there is one simple point that will speed up reading.
Hyperspeed Reading will be available in stores starting August 4. Buy it immediately and read it in a few evenings. As a result, we will master twice as many pages in the same time.
CRITICAL POINT. I found one unpleasant bug that was repeated several times in the dungeons, disrupting my progress.
